Long time Civil Rights activist, author and comedian Dick Gregory made his rounds in Washington DC where he took in the State of the Union address and the Healthy Families USA convention. We caught up with Gregory and talked to him about the situation in Haiti. He pointed out some of ther glaring flaws in the relief efforts including the irony of having two men who don’t like each other, George Bush and Bill Clinton being the face for recovery operations.

New Guidebook Shows Texas Green Job Opportunities

Texas job seekers, students and policymakers have a new reference tool for seizing opportunities available in a burgeoning new economy with the recent release of the "Texas Green Jobs Guidebook" published by Environmental Defense Fund.

With support from the Meadows Foundation and review by the Texas Workforce Commission, the EDF publication profiles more than 200 types of green jobs, gives information on job training and placement programs, and provides city-specific overviews of workforce websites and community college program listings.
