(AllHipHop News) The Mayor of Corpus Christi, Texas is being criticized for his appearance in a video for a profanity laced rap song titled "That's Not How You Represent Tha 361."
Mayor Joe Adame is seen at the beginning of Corpus Christie rapper Michael White's video for "361," reciting the song's catchy hook.
The track is a diss record by local rapper Michael White, who lashes out at the group named Only A Handful Family and their track "I'm From Corpus."
By now everyone has heard the big news about singer/humanitarian Wyclef Jean running for President of Haiti. It's got everyone talking including many within the Hip Hop generation. For them the thought of a Hip Hop artist of Wyclef's stature becoming President of Haiti on the heels of Barack Obama becoming president of the United States is beyond exciting.
On Thursday, July 29, 2010, the Austin city council took a vote that was a pivot point for race relations in Austin, Texas. Statistics show what folks know by talking to each other - Black people are leaving Austin quickly and moving to other cities. Many point out that it is because of the feeling that people of color don't belong and are not accepted by the majority. Housing in Austin continues to be almost 100% racially segregated. Social life is segregated by skin color with a few notable exceptions.
Some say the most disturbing difference is the way that police treat people of color compared to the way they treat folks West of the racial dividing line of IH-35.

In the midst of focusing on all that was wrong with the attacks and subsequent reaction to Ms Shirley Sherrod, what was lost was GOP Senators fighting to withhold 1.2 billion dollars that was set aside for Black Farmers who had a long court fight with the US Government.
