A 25th Anniversary Celebration
Please be our guest at our 25th Anniversary Celebration. The celebration will take place November 6th at Austin's own Barr Mansion - the nation's first sustainable and certified organic events facility. The evening of festivities will include a schmooze fest and an awards dinner from 6 to 9 p.m., as well as a hoedown featuring special musical guest David Garza from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets can be purchased online at www.citizen.org/txrsvp
From fighting coal and nuclear power plants to unsafe toys, Public Citizen Texas has concerned itself for a quarter century with keeping Texans safe from dirty energy, politics, and corporate influence. Our award winning advocacy work ranges from grass-roots organizing to policy interventions at the state and national level.
The current focus of Public Citizen's Texas office work has been at the intersection of energy, the economy and the environment. The latter arena offers the exciting challenge of helping Texas realize an energy future that respects environmental limits while meeting people's social and economic needs. All of our endeavors have a common theme - protecting health, safety, and democracy for all Texans.
We hope you'll join us November 6th as we celebrate this major milestone.
Sincerely,
Tom "Smitty" Smith
