ABOUT JACK MCDONALD
Jack McDonald is a successful businessman and community leader in Central Texas. In 1999, Jack became the CEO of Perficient, an 8-person IT consulting firm. He grew the company from a start-up to an industry leader that now employs more than 1,200 people. Jack has been nationally recognized as a leader in business, and has a particular strength in job creation on the local level.
Jack is also very active in Austin's non-profit community. He serves as Chairman of PeopleFund, a community development loan fund that supports affordable housing efforts and small business creation. Jack also serves on the boards of directors of People's Community Clinic and Hill Country Conservancy, among other groups. Jack is also the Vice Chairman of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the State of Texas’s Emerging Technology Fund for Central Texas.
Jack grew up in very modest circumstances: one of five siblings, he was raised in a 750-foot square home. The first in his family to go to college, he later continued on to law school. Now, Jack is exploring this run for Congress because he sees such opportunities slipping away for American families. Learn more at his website, www.jackforcongress.com.
