Travis County Democratic Party Convention

In Austin, music and politics happily mix, and the Travis County Democratic Party invites everyone to join us for the County Convention on Mar. 20 at the Palmer Events Center. A Clean Energy Rally, co-hosted by the Sierra Club, will be one of the day’s highlights. We also will hear speeches by U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett, Lt. Governor candidate Linda Chavez Thompson, Texas State Sen. Kirk Watson and Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell.

Delegates to the State Democratic Convention, to be held in Corpus Christi on June 25th, will be chosen, other party business will be conducted, and Austin’s own "Asleep at the Wheel" will (Western) swing the house. Please join us for a rocking Democratic convention!
