Bun talked about the humble beginnings of UGK starting out in the small town of Port Arthur. He noted that his early influences were Kool G Rap and members of the Juice Crew. He said KRS-1 had the biggest influence on him as an emcee.

He’s a fixture in the Austin rap scene who was first arrested by the FBI at 16 for counterfeiting. He went on to be a 4 time felon but since then he’s gone on to turn his life around and become a successful independent business man, motivational figure for the community, and dope artist.
